Project 365: Days 118 - 124

Day 118: Spring clean - I spent most of today cleaning and I can honestly say that the novelty of having a steam cleaner hasn't worn off yet.  If it stood still for long enough, it got cleaned.

Day 119: Swing - I love these nice days when the boys get to go out to play after school.  Here my oldest boy is enjoying himself on the swing.

Day 120: Bubble wrap - Is there anything better than bubble wrap?  I had a delivery of cleaning products today and there was loads of bubble wrap in the box.  The boys spent ages popping it before my middle boy decided to wrap himself up in it.

Day 121: Bouncing - another lovely day so another day on the garden after school.  The boys love the trampoline and spend hours bouncing on it.

Day 122: Tractor ride - we had to go shopping today and I let my little one nag talk me into letting him go on  the little tractor ride.  He did enjoy it but I know that next time we go shopping he'll be expecting to go on it again.

Day 123: Gardening - my little one planted some sunflower seeds today.  He had great fun digging in the compost and loved getting dirty.

Day 124: Daddy's shoes - he was very sweet stomping around wearing daddy's shoes today.  It reminds me of a picture that my parents had when I was small called 'Mummy's Shoes'.  Everyone thought I looked like the little girl in the picture.

Project 365: Days 69 - 75

Day 69: A family get together - As it was mother's Day we all went to my sisters for food.  The boys had great fun playing with their cousins and I enjoyed a good chat with my mother and sisters.  O decided that he wanted to try on some 3D glasses and was delighted when everyone laughed at him.  He is quite the little joker.

Day 70: Jigsaw marathon - I got home from work to find that the boys had filled the floor with jigsaws. They had a lovely time putting together as many jigsaws as they could find, but what I loved was that they worked together really well.  Hardly any fighting, crying or screaming for once.

Day 71: Hungry Hippos - I've been to work today but managed to catch this photo of the three boys playing Hungry Hippos.  I love it when they play games together.

Day 72: Flower - My Mothers Day flowers are still going well.  I'm going to try to learn how to take the perfect shot of a flower.  That's my mission for the next few weeks.

Day 73: Swings - O managed to talk me into taking him to the park after the school run even though it was freezing.  It was great to see him running around and getting some fresh air, and he particularly loved the swing.

Day 74: Finger painting - O asked to do some painting this morning so we got the finger paints out and covered the floor.  I enjoyed getting mucky and dabbing paint everywhere; including all over himself.  We now have a series of dots over numerous pieces of paper :-)

Day 75: Snow! - It wasn't forecast but we've just had a really heavy downfall of snow.  It's all white outside.  It looks very pretty but I'm starting to get desperate for some warmer weather.  Will I ever be able to get my sandals out from the back of the wardrobe?

The perfect weather to ride a bike

Today it was son number two's turn to learn to ride his bike.  We taught my oldest to ride his back in the summer and it took a week of hard work before it really clicked and we're hoping that it's the same this time.

The weather was beautiful today so we packed the car with two bikes, a trike and three children and we set off for our local Country Park.  It's the perfect place to learn to ride a bike as there's lots of straight bits and it's mostly flat.

Firstly, a pep talk from dad.  Let's hope it works.
 And we're off!
He's a bit wobbly, but he'll soon get the hang of it.

Oops! Daddy let go.
The other boys are having fun though.

No help needed here.
No pictures please!

My oldest and youngest boys were my responsibility today while hubby took on the back breaking task of holding on to that bike.  He wasn't allowed to let go as Ethan would panic so, for today, he held on to it.  We did have to take a few breaks from all that hard work.

Watching the ducks
Can't break for too long though; must get back to the task in hand.  Ethan is doing really well too.  He just needs a bit more confidence and then he'll be off.

Time for another break before heading back, and who can blame him with that view?  I sometimes forget how beautiful my local area is.

 Finally, the best bit.

Ice-cream!!

Do you think the children look a bit cold though?

There's just enough time for some fun in the park before we go home.

Just pretend we're on a beach in the sun....
It's going to take a bit more time and effort to finally crack it, but half term is coming up and I'm determined that Ethan will be riding his bike like a pro by the end of it.  Let's hope the weather holds out so he can learn.

I have heard a whisper about an Indian Summer..... Hmmm, I'll believe it when I see it!
