Snow Days

It's Day 8 of snow here.  The children love it and don't want it to go, but I'm getting quite sick of it now.  I dread doing the school run as there's nowhere to park due to piles of snow everywhere, and the postman hasn't made it into my street for a week!
View from my window
The great thing about it is seeing the children have so much fun.  I've been looking through my photos from the last week and love to see the children so rosy cheeked and smiling.

All smiles
The long walk back up the hill

The only disappointment is that I don't seem to have any of my oldest.  He just races off and is too fast for me.  I'll try to catch him before the snow disappears.  He did build this fabulous snowman though.  Hubby finished it off with some Lego pieces, a bucket, cones and a toy golf club!  Strangest looking snowman I've ever seen.

Our Lego snowman
My youngest wasn't too keen on the snow; in fact, he refused to go out for the first few days but curiosity finally got the better of him and so here he is taking a few precarious steps in the snow outside the house while his big brother helps to clear some snow from the driveway.
Little one finally made it out in the snow

Yet another snowman

Whatever I think of the snow it is very pretty.  I took this photo of my neighbours tree because I love the way it looks all covered in snow.

Did you get any snow where you are?  Are you still enjoying it, or will you be glad to see the back of it?  I've never been more desperate for it to rain (don't tell my boys I said that!)

Project 365: Days 6 - 12

It's time for week two of Project 365 over on The Boy and Me.  It's been a bit of a strange week with poorly children so we haven't been out much.  We still managed to have some fun indoors though.

Day 6: Packed lunches all ready for school and work
Day 7: Playing catch indoors
Day 8:  Play fight with daddy before bedtime
Day 9: Doing the obstacle course on Wii Fit
Day 10: Poorly boy
Day 11: No school for ill children so we did some painting instead

Being a trend-setter

Follow my blog with Bloglovin

I've been a trend-setter for Tru Diamonds for the past few months and have had some amazing jewellery to try.  First came the necklace.

Princess cut pendant

Then came the ring.

The Royal Engagement Ring

And finally, these lovely earrings.

Boldly Beautiful Earrings

To be honest, when I opened the earrings I wondered where I would wear them.  The looked so glamorous and being a mother of three young boys, I hardly go anywhere other than the supermarket.

I also hadn't worn earrings for years.  Luckily, my ears are pierced and the holes hadn't closed up!

I imagined wearing them with a little black dress along with lots of sparkles and going out on the town.

In reality, I put on jeans and a sparkly jumper (well, it was nearly Christmas) and went to an Italian restaurant with hubby and the kids for lunch.  I was a bit anxious that the earrings would look out of place with such a casual outfit but hubby reassured me that they looked great.

What do you think?

If anyone knows how to airbrush photos please let me know!

They definitely made me feel great, and that has got to be a good thing, right?

So I've decided that from now on, wherever I'm going and whatever I'm wearing, I'm going to wear a few sparkles to brighten up these miserable, grey days.

Christmas might be over but that doesn't mean we can't have a bit of glitz!
